Today I went with Gard to cinema for seeing Beowulf, an 3D-animation movie. Very cool seeing the movie with 3D-glasses. For me it was interesting to see how the development has improved since Polar Express. The movie was made with the motion- and perfomance capuring techniques. That means that real actors have given to the 3D-characters the movements and the facial expressions. This theme was one of my degree thesis and so I was very anxious to view this movie. Regrettably the 3D-characters still looks dead. And the blame have the eyes! They are staring blankly into space or boss eyed. But I believe that in some years you can’t disgingish the 3D-characters with real persons…wow. But is it diserable?
